We are currently in the Mayan Moon 3: Electric Moon of Service: Sept 20-Oct 17

The code words are Activate - Bond - Service, totem is the Deer.

This Moon holds the energy of movement, exchange and rhythm. In the context of the Electric Moon, visualise the word 'service' as love made visible.

When we truly understand (activate) our interconnectedness (bond) with each other & the living Universe, we sense our own vital link in this web of relationship and recognise the ongoing exchange of giving & receiving (service).

This philosophy is embodied in the Flower of Life, a sacred geometric symbol recognised in many lands and cultures. The Flower of Life represents the interconnectedness of the living Universe; humans, animals, ocean, sun, moon, sky, earth, planets, stars etc. Our health and wellbeing depends on the maintenance of these relationships in terms of quality and balance. This is achieved through reciprocity - a flowing and balanced cycle of giving and receiving and a real and open commitment to conflict resolution.

This is the Law of Nature - choosing to live by and align with this Law ensures balance on Earth and beyond, where all living organisms experience abundance and wellbeing.

The energy of this Law is present in many cultures, including Indigenous cultures and therefore you may relate to a different name or symbol that reflects these same principles.

Getting back to the Moon......and a little more on this energy of 'service'. Think of it as your lifetime or soul's mission, as well as your moment to moment missions. This Moon is asking us to get moving on our missions!

But what if you're not sure of your mission...?

Never fear, you heart is here. When you centre your heart, you align your awareness with your true callings within......'testing, testing.......this is your soul speaking'...there are many ways to centre your heart, try; meditation, prayer, yoga, a walk by the ocean, time in the bush, sit under a tree, a walk, you can even do it at home, or on the bus......the key is to rest your mind, so your heart can seek and find - close your eyes and focus, bring your awareness to your breathing.

The energy of this Moon is one of passion for life, gratitude for being alive and wanting to participate in the cycle of giving and receiving (yes, receiving is equally as important as giving).

Realise that there are long-range and short-range acts of service, aim to balance these. Most importantly, know that service is INTUITIVE - follow your hearts' promptings (remember, rest your mind, let your heart seek and find).

To give you a sense of possible long & short range service missions, I've listed a few here (adapted from Eden Sky);

From discovering new sciences and energy
To helping a child peel an orange
To doing yogic breathing to balance and activate both sides of your brain
To listening deeper than ever to the bird's morning song
From serving your families needs
To doing ceremony and prayer to align with your spiritual guides
From protecting the bees from extinction
To teaching a child how to ride a bike
To planting a tree
To genuinely telling someone how much you value and appreciate them
To working to restructure the public health care system

Whilst there are limitless ways to serve, it seems that when people do what they love (i.e what their heart has guided them to do), they can't help but serve.

So........what are YOUR natural gifts and abilities? What are your passions and inclinations that can be developed in order to serve our community and our world?

Live your life in a way that inspires you, that makes you feel electrically alive - your path of service will naturally make itself known. Follow your soul and liberate your passions.
